I've Used EQEmu before to play EQ, but I uninstalled EQ and such.
Today I installed it, patched it, Then removed the files which were on the list as mentioned in http://www.eqemulator.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=14979 , Then repaired my files using my CDs.
I have Dx9b installed, and my video driver is updated.
When I double click on my icon to play Eqgame, It comes up, theres a black screen, and it just stays like that. When i look in task manager it's still running, hasn't frozen or anything.
I know my system is compatable to run Everquest..
But erm yeah.. I dunno whats going on..Can anyone please help?
Thanks,
-Mark-

This will cause you to use some very old dlls and exes along with some new dlls and exes which are so far apart that they are incompatible. That repair option is completely retarded for Sony to include on the CD since the install changes often enough that the repair is soon completely worthless and patching is needed.

So basically I should just patch and wait for a fix?
Kay, thanks

Yeah, unfortunately that is probably the best thing to do. The good news is, it sounds like Edgar and the eqemu team are closing in on a fix. Not sure if it will require serverside updates or not, but once they put in the fix for the login servers, hopefully you will be back in business..
