aight i bought a linksys wireless router-B like 3 weeks ago...its been working fine but for some reason now when i boot up it says device is unknown. i pull it out and plug it back in and it says the same thing. when i click on properties for it it says that there arent any drivers installed for it. ive tried uninstalling and reinstalling the device numerous times but nothing seems to be working.
anyone know how to fix this problem?

Do you have a wireless USB or wireless card attached to the router, or do you all just hook it up to it.

If so I had about 5 weeks of fun with it before it worked properly.

I suggest screwing around with the router itself. Type in 192.168.1.1 in your internet browser, then type in admin for password. (no username)

Check if you accidently set a static IP. Also ensure you dont have any MAC address set. I prefer setting the channel on 11 also, check out your computers set IP addresses.

Otherwhise there is always tech support.

its so lame...like sometimes it will hook up and load properly but all the other times i get a "system does not recognize this device" error when i plug it in to my USB.

and the tech support really sucks. i called them twice and they couldnt tell me anything i didnt know and they couldnt fix the problem. oh well. ill just play around with it until i get it

If you do have the USB, make sure its the same letter as the router. I bought a USB, C for a router B. And I have to keep re-setting it up to make it work again every time I turn on my laptop. So make sure if you have Router B get USB B.
