Ive been sourcing a DR4 server file for over 15 hours now... does ANY one have an eta on how long this usually takes? I don't mind the wait, but I'd like to have some, even vauge idea of how long the wait will be.

Usually there never is a precompiled released version of any DR verion, only the actual release version comes precompiled. You can get it from http://cvs.biosprite.net/ bt you have to compile it yourself.

Not that it matters, I still can't log in to my own server. I think I'm just going to give it up and wait for the DR4 final release unless someone happens to want to send me the compiled files... /shrug I just wanted to help out looking for bugs and enjoying being part of the server hosting community. /sniff no no I'm not going to cry... hehehe

well I DO have access to EQ live for packet collecting. I downloaded the latest sniffer but it doesn't seem to work right. I start the exe file it pops open a command window for a grand total of a millionth of a second, then closes, leaving nothing that I can find running. Perhaps there is something wrong with the latest collector? Would explain why the opt codes are corrupted I think... anywho waiting for someone to tell me what to do. I'd be happy to help in anyway my limited skills allow me to.

You have to run packetcollector from a command line and pass arguments to it. Just clicking on Packetcollector.exe doesn't work.

Run it from a command prompt, not by clicking on its icon, and not by bringing up the Run: dialog box. If you just give the command packetcollector without any arguments it will tell you what all arguments you can pass to it, then exit.
