trouble logging in

First off, i would just like to thank everyone that is working on this project, i used to play the game live a few years ago until my parents pulled the plug on it bc of the fee.

Back to my problem, i made an account earlier and it worked fine, i was able to make a name to play on, but when i try to logon to the server, it tells me i am unable to connect. i read some other forums and tried to find a solution, i have gone back and tried everything all over again, but it still will not let me log in, it says somthing about making a connection? thanks in advance for all of your help.

You have to make sure you only try to connect to 5.7 DR4 servers because the latest patch is only compatible with them.

I think he means he's having trouble connecting to the login server, not the game servers. I know now I am having problems connecting to the login server (and yes, my eqhost.ini file is correct, i even re-copied it and rechecked for spacing just in case).

edit- I R retarded, checked out other topics in general support and found my problem, tee hee. nevermind.
