It will always be impossible for everyone to play on every server. Usually almost every patch makes it so only people with that patch or maybe 1 or 2 other patches before that one can play on a server designed to be compatible with that patch. And the patches come out faster than servers that have lots of custom content can update. So most of the servers are behind a few versions and some servers like Winters Roar refuse to be compatible with any new patches until Sony fixes some bugs. So there will always be a broad spectrum of different versioned servers. Just get on a server you like and play on it. And never patch until that server tells you to. And if you want to play on several servers just pick ones that are the same version or make multiple copies of your eq folder so that you can have a variety of patches.

How do you get the DR4 Files? cuz my server eventually does run, i wont be able to get into it withought DR4. All i have is DR3..

download the latest source from http://cvs.biosprite.net and compile it.

is there any servers that play the original version straigt outa the box cose i cant get into the DR4 servers cose none are open yet and im dieing to get playing and i duno how to go back a few patchs

There is no original version straight out of the box, theres at least 10 versions straight out of the box and no way to tell what version you have because sometimes the exact same looking box will have a different version because it was made at different times. So its really impossible to make a server can play on without patching and the only way to patch will keep getting updated and breaking stuff.

how do i tell which box version i have and if thats not possible is there any way i can get a minilogin to play solo or do i need to know version?

You have to know what version you have before you can set up a server to play on with minilogin. There is an archive of old server versions compatible with different patches, but each one has less features also and the only way to tell what server, if any, would work is to download them all and try them. And its likely yours is too old for any of the versions since they don;t go back that far which menas you would have to take the server and recode it to the old opcodes and packet formats which is nearly an impossible task considering there is no way to packet collect that data like you can on live.
