Ok i played EQ about 3 and a half years live, im a raid officer in an EP guild and we been having some trouble on some scripts; seeing the zone and stuff would seriously help me; Unfortunately im new to EQEmu and i have patched up to latest patch.

I read i can connect to the DR4 servers , but not any others; DR4 servers are rarer than a stormfeather spawn in iceclad :(

And also i dont know if theres any non legit (No use for me in taking ages to level up a char to check out a zone now :? ) , So i ask , is there anything i can do to get back onto the older servers? As it would help out in my raid leading etc , we tend to do raids with low numbers , hating to ever be a zerg guild which is why we need to have everything going perfectly , so i need to study :)

any help would be greatly appreciated

DR4's got some issues to be worked out, which is why you don't see that many servers running it. Only the ones that are willing to be guinea pigs for testing are going up to DR4 right now.

All I can suggest is give it some time. Eventually DR5 or whatever will fix these issues... assuming SOE doesn't come around then and screw around with the network code again.

If you have older files, you can play on DR3 servers. The May 5 version of eqgame.exe and May 6 version of eqmain.dll work on DR3 just fine.
(In case you're not aware, it's against the board rules to ask for the client files, so please don't. I'm just saying if you can get your hands on them from a guildmate or friend who either backed them up or maybe took a break so he hasn't patched since then.)

i got no such luck :/ Looks like i gotta wait til more get DR4 or whatever else i can use in the future :cry:

So its back to trial and error against those EP gods :evil:

When will the next Official Release come out? like withought DR's. - 0.5.7 - Withought anythin else? does the DR's gotta go up to 10? sorry i never heard of DR before this new patch

Its impossible to tell how long it will take. It ahs already been longer than it norammly takes for a release to happen ebcause SOny has broken a lot of stuff. It all depends on how much time the devs have to make a stable working server adn how much more Sony breaks before that happens. It could be tommorow or it could be next year and askign only wastes the devs time that they could be working on it.
