Hey, there is perhaps a connection problem with the servers for some odd reason. I have patched to live, changed my Eqhost.txt to the following.

[LoginServer]
Host=eqemulator.net:5995

Tried to go in, my client sat there and gave me the timeout error. Logging into command prompt, I ping eqemulator.net just to see if I get a stable connection and I get the following, so im good.

C:\>ping eqemulator.net

Since i cant log in, I download the eqsclient.ini off of the news section of eqemulator and I put it in, and wham. I still get the same problem. I dont know if this can help you guys pin-point this bug but I noticed a lot of other people were having this problem earlier. My connection is great so there should be no reason for me when I select a server and click play Everquest I should get Timeout. Thank you for reading, hope it helps atlease some. Yes by the way, I do get to server selection but I get time out after I click to play on the server I have selected, and it happens on all DR-4 Servers that I select.

This is exactly your problem. Those servers need to upgrade their source ebcause before the latest CVS dump there was a bug that an opcode that a GM character sends as they log in is the same as what OPCODE_CAMP used to be. And since a GM does not camp, and instead Disconnects instantly, you are disconnecting instantly. The latest source changes OPCODE_CAMP to what it should be and works fine.
