Crash when I should be getting to char. select

I get onto the login server... pick a server that is updated to live, and try and log on... loads up fine ...duh duh duh duuuuh! dun da da da... boom... "Your client may have crashed, do you want to send an error report" or something like that, once I SHOULD have hit char select screan.


BTW: (EQ is patched to live, eqhost has NO spaces and is the new one)

U have D9 and the latest video drivers?

I have DirectX 9.0b, I looked around and I guess they quit making drivers for my operating system (Win98) vid card is Radeon 9000 PRO (128mb). Correct me if I'm wrong... if anybody can find newer driver for this that works with win98 I'd me VERY VERY greatful... I've been looking around for a while now.... will look a bit more. I guess the vid card driver would prolly be the problem... It asked me to update it at first, I couldn't find the one it wanted me to use on the website it gave me.

Pretty crappy comp ... not the best vid card, just got it to replace to Pos 32mb Nvidia one that came with it, and fizzled out...I'm prolly just screwed... oh well, I think I found a driver... but now I can't find the disc which came with my vid card... which the new driver says it needs to install... figures. :evil: God hates me :evil:
