Is it possible to use the everquest.exe and not have to use the eqw when playing the eqemu? Because as I can find it, seems eqw is the only reason I crash atm. When I play through the everquest.exe it runs just fine, but I cant play eqemu since I am not sure on how to do this.

Well you can use "eqgame.exe patchme" but sometimes it wont let you connect (1017 errors, cant log in, ect)..
But try to get EQW working first because thats the only supported config to play (ie. if you cant get emu working and your not using EQW, no support).

Well I finally got everything working the way I wanted it to, just EQW shuts down and crashes me to desktop way to often as I would like, so was gonna try everquest.exe and see how it does as opposed to eqw

I run EQ like normal, then re-change the eqhost.txt file
then do EMU stuff then
eqgame.exe patchme
and it works like a charm
Did have problems doing that when I didn't patch it BEFORE each new reload of EQ. Loggin out to look or use EQadmin =(
EQW is nice for editing but when I just wanna play FULL screen
I do the above!

Actually theres an even easier way, run the patcher, then when its done patching (dont close it or hit play) you edit eqhost.txt, save it then hit play.

You can skip the patcher program you know?Open up MS-DOS and put in your EQ directory. For me i put in D:\Program Files\Everquest
Then after that, put in eqgame patchme and it will skip the patch program.I find its easier than editing the eqhost.txt every time

I already said that in my first reply.
