Hey, I can get on the server fine. But after a while it will disconnect me showing the "You have been Disconnected" screen. I have a cable modem, and the DataRate set 15.0 if that does anything. I have noticed some other people with modems have been having this problem(and the last attempt it wouldn't even let me in the server after selecting my character).
Also does it lag(people popping around a lot) on anyone elses PC? Thanks for the information!

Most modems can't even keep up with 8 KB/s and that is what the data rate is used for so the server can't get as much data through as you told it to so it LDs you. Change it to 5 or less and experiment until you find what you like. If you solo all the time 2 is good enough, but you need more if you are around a lot of other people.

What if you LD only when zoning? I can run around a zone all day long but the second I zone back to the login I go. Is this a datarate issue?

Nope, datarate is only used while in a zone. But i have heard of other people with the same problem and I think its related to an incorrect OP code in the server code.

I meant Cable modem, I left that part out.. but I will experiment with it. It will kick me at random times, sometimes I can stay on for hours.. others only a few minutes, kinda odd. Thanks for the help! I'll let you know if this works :).

Official word from Sony: never set your datarate above 9.0

Yes, just make a file called datarate.txt and put 8.0 in it.
