Need Help with setting up

When I get into MySql, I go into the databases screen and do 'create new database'. I then get a message saying 'The server must be connected.' Im not sure what to do. I do have the db file copied into that folder

I am assuming your talking about opening winmysqladmin?

And if it is open and it is giving you that error, then you have something rather wrong...

Open a dos prompt, go to c:\mysql\bin and run mysql

Then try what you were doing.
