this is only compatible with the June22nd patch NOT THE NEWEST ERROR ON JULY 16th

i have no solution to that yet

Theres always a solution if the person can find a copy of all the exes and dlls and ufiles from a version that was compatible.

hey, im just trying to get EQemu working. and i read the tutorials and did all of the steps, but i cant get past the log on screen, it just stays at "loading your account", or whatever it says when you click connect. All ive changed is the eqhost.txt file, datarate.txt, and eqlfclient.cfg to what the site said i should. will i be playing on a server hosted by my computer, or a server that other people or on, or is there something else im supposed to do, like download any files? thanks in advance

For some reason I don't have the datarate.txt file. Maybe I am just being a newb but I could make it almost all the way to the character selection screen and it crashed (several times). Tonight I will reinstall EQ and make a copy after all the expansions are loaded and give it another wirl. I honestly do not know what I am doing wrong. Thanks!

You're not doing anything wrong. The latest EQ patch is not compatible with the Emu and you need to wait til it is.

I understand now why there are people still able to connect to the servers. They didn't run EQlive so they can still connect. I can wait for the new version of the emulator. I wish I could help with something but my programming skills are none. So I will just wait patiently unless someone has a solution and wishes to contact me at: youkamu_no_ongaku@yahoo.com

Until it gets going I will just continue to make myself known on the message boards since I am new. Thanks for the reply.

After a few days of messing around with copying files from my other computer I finally got EQEmu to work on this comp again. Just a word of advice, do NOT mess with eqhardware.ini! It is only created ONCE, so DO NOT DELETE IT! >_> Other than that, I hope the new version comes out so you folks can play again soon here.
