Hullo. Ok, here's what I did; attempted to download Mangoo's Item Editor straight from the .zip link on the forums, didnt work, said that site could not be found so I went straight to the site and downloaded 2.0 version beta 3 or whatever the latest was...unziped it straight to my emulator folder and clicked the program, entered in the info and (using winxp) I got the illegal operation thingy "Item Database Editor has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience" etc etc etc, do you want to send error report or dont send (you know what I mean) this happens every time. I even had a friend send me his working files yet I still get the same problem. Is there any way to fix this or is there another working program that I can use so I can get to work on server's DB?

Thanks ahead of time! =D

You're most likely missing .dll files needed to run the program.

Mangoo hasnt been adding the dll's to every release, especially the latest releases. Download the item editor from past days and you should find them eventually, most have them.

I'm having issues regarding the item editor. I am unable to create any items, and when I try to change an item after editing it, it reverts to what it was before.

What are the DLL files that need to be with this program. I have libMYSQL.dll that came with the zip file. Is there other ones that I need to know about?

Any help would be appreciated.

There's a post TWO POSTS ABOVE YOUR OWN with a fix.

Nice attention span there.

Yes, its really clear. Except that I tried the "fix." There is no list of the DLL files that are included with the program, so I have no way of finding out if that fix is working or not.

If you looked an actually read the post you would have noticed I asked this:

What are the DLL files that need to be with this program.

My purpose is trying to actually figure out what DLL files I need, because there is no other place to actually figure out what was needed to actually get the program to work.

Thanks for the insult, I'm sure you are all warm and fuzzy inside because of it.

.dll files needed: EQInside.dll + libmysql.dll

http://www.eqemulator.net/~liscadipesce/EQinside.dll

http://www.eqemulator.net/~liscadipesce/libmySQL.dll

P.S. What Melwin did post did concern you. I had posted that all DLL files to run the Item Editor were in past .zip files. In the future, if I stop hosting those 2 .dll's, download a compilation from way back when :)

OK, thanks for the help. It wasn't all that clear to me, and I've been up for 'bout 48 hours now.

I tried the fix, reinstalling the eqinside.dll and libmysql.dll, and it really had no change on the performance of the itemEditor.

This program looks like it has a lot of potential, and I look forward to being able to use it.

I have the send error report message when I try to use it as well. I got both the .dll files. I guess you put the .dll files in the same directory as the item editor don't you?

You two send me a PM with the structure of your items table, thats the only thing I can think of that could be causing you trouble.

You can export a table structure using MySQL-Front.

From what i have heard, that error doesnt really matter, as long as it opens and you can do work with it.

what about the part where i can see any stats when i click the item, how do i edit them then?
