[17:50] <Dalste> Hi, You can take the +V but I believe I can get you around the Issues of logging in and gaming in eqemu in general

[17:50] * Jett (mfghs@HIDE-A75F3A85.ph.ph.cox.net) has joined #Developers
[17:50] <Scorpious2k> is that so?
[17:51] <Dalste> Yes... First off I have Evolution and just patched after a fresh install... i can not log into EQEMU. Because the update checks the eqhost.txt file and changes it to match the needed login information. If the first is changed again past that it adds that smell.com server and crash... if the login and authentication servers can not read or change that file the client again crashes on that primise too
[17:52] <Dalste> So what you do is code your own log in client.exe
[17:52] <Baron-Sprite> or you could just
[17:52] * jam^ (jammey@HIDE-883BC02D.client.comcast.net) has joined #Developers
[17:52] <Baron-Sprite> make eqhost.txt
[17:52] <Baron-Sprite> read only
[17:53] <Baron-Sprite> so it doesn't get overwritten
[17:53] <Baron-Sprite> by the patcher
[17:53] <Dalste> If there are any hooks in existing .dll files they will be accessed in memory and ultimatly read and discovered by uou and you can redirect them to bypass the authentication
[17:53] <Dalste> I understand
[17:53] <Dalste> But it changes that read only file to a readable file I just spent 1 hour testing logins
[17:53] * Yaardvark (YV@51B42FEE.4094FCCF.F2653189.IP) has joined #Developers
[17:54] <Dalste> No what SOE will do to you for that...
[17:54] <Dalste> Once you learn to bypass that they will code hooks in other dlls and make authentication checks every time you zone
[17:54] <Baron-Sprite> they've known about it for 2 and a half years
[17:55] * Baron-Sprite sets mode: +v Arryeth
[17:55] <Dalste> perhaps but they are cracking down more and more... I believe if its a static buffer in memory youre all set... but if not... then you will have to discover the dynamic locations or processes that spawn them and bypass them thus making a bit more work but I believe you can do it.
[17:55] <Arryeth> o ty
[17:55] <Baron-Sprite> I don't think they care?
[17:56] <Dalste> And they will reroll the dice on you every time you discover the memory locations
[17:56] <Dalste> Course they do...they ned the revenue from the EQEMU players. Can you guys code your own client to connect to the EQEMU?
[17:56] <Arryeth> I still don't see the current problem
[17:56] <sotoninx> dalste
[17:56] <Dalste> yes?
[17:56] <sotoninx> they still get revenue from me
[17:56] <sotoninx> =)
[17:57] <Arryeth> I never have authentication or whatever problems
[17:57] <sotoninx> and others who have live accounts
[17:57] <Arryeth> I double click a nice shortcut and POOF
[17:57] <Dalste> What os are you on?
[17:57] <sotoninx> eqemu is just for messing around on
[17:57] <Arryeth> windows~
[17:57] <Dalste> xp 2k 98?
[17:57] <Arryeth> 2k pls
[17:57] <Arryeth> btw 98 is lol
[17:57] <Arryeth> who runs that~
[17:57] <sotoninx> 98 pwns
[17:57] <sotoninx> but i like me best
[17:58] <tcsmyworld> possible with a few file D/L's
[17:58] <sotoninx> i have a ME / CE hybrid

[17:58] <Dalste> ok... well with XP they have changed the properties of the EQlaunch.exe and you can not change the proerties of it. As I said I own evolution and run it on XP... you can not change the files without the update check utility reverting to the expected files
[17:58] * Richardo (Test@HIDE-1816A631.houston.rr.com) has joined #Developers
[17:58] <Arryeth> so I still am clueless you whatever problem you are calling upon

[17:58] <Baron-Sprite> what the hell are you talking about
[17:58] <Arryeth> what file are you using to try and log in to eqemu -_-
[17:58] <Baron-Sprite> you right click and click on properties
[17:59] <sotoninx> if you set read only. NOTHING can change it
[17:59] <Richardo> Dalse, what do I do when my bionic capasitator goes off line and the cybernetic connectors wont connect?
[17:59] <Richardo> Dalste* rather
[17:59] <sotoninx> you run and get your flux capacitor
[17:59] <sotoninx> duh
[17:59] <Richardo> oh crap
[17:59] <Richardo> I forgot
[17:59] <Richardo> Wait
[18:00] <Dalste> Actully Sotoninx the dll files run at kernel level like drivers that are loaded and off loaded. They update system changes them back to the expected state.
[18:00] <Arryeth> I still want to know what file dalste is using to log in
[18:00] <Arryeth> which exe
[18:00] <sotoninx> thats why you dont patch dalste
[18:00] <sotoninx> =)
[18:00] <Dalste> I tryed eqgame.exe and tryed with everquest.exe
[18:00] <Arryeth> eqgame is the one imo
[18:01] <sotoninx> everquest.exe = patcher eqgame.exe = game
[18:01] <Richardo> sotoninx, what if my flux capacitor is having stalls?
[18:01] <Dalste> again I understand sotoninx: But the goal of this group is to complete what SOE has on their end. To be able to do that is the point of EQEMU so that when eq goes away one day we can all still play.
[18:01] <sotoninx> give it to arreyth he will suck on your tralala until it works
[18:01] <Arryeth> oo my ding ding dong
[18:01] * Yaardvark (YV@51B42FEE.4094FCCF.F2653189.IP) has left #Developers
[18:02] <sotoninx> thats the goal of the group? you dont say.......
[18:02] <sotoninx> btw who are you? =)
[18:02] <Arryeth> I still don't see the problem here.
[18:02] <Dalste> Anyhow I wil leave here in just a second. but i wanted the coders here to look into this.... -->
[18:02] <Richardo> sotoninx, what if my flux capacitor is having stalls?
[18:02] <Richardo> sotoninx, what if my flux capacitor is having stalls?
[18:02] <sotoninx> give it to arreyth he will suck on your tralala until it works
[18:02] <sotoninx> give it to arreyth he will suck on your tralala until it works
[18:02] <sotoninx> give it to arreyth he will suck on your tralala until it works
[18:02] <Arryeth> oo my ding ding dong
[18:02] <Arryeth> oo my ding ding dong
[18:02] <Draupner> Dalste look at what? all I see are empty lines O.o
[18:02] <Arryeth> Richardo: just overload it till it recovers
[18:02] <Richardo> Dude, Sotoninx, Onboard Cybernetic IP.N1's dont have Tralala's
[18:03] <Richardo> wtf?
[18:03] <Draupner> Rich hes usin my custom one
[18:03] <Draupner> which does have tralala's
[18:03] <Arryeth> have you tried the hypercom version?
[18:03] <Richardo> Dude, were trying to fix my IP.N1
[18:03] <Richardo> no arryeth
[18:03] <Richardo> ill try now
[18:03] <Arryeth> ported for use of tralalas and the IP.N1 consoles
[18:03] <sotoninx> here richardo you can play on my cosmic guitar
[18:04] <Richardo> 5, 4, 3, 1, OFFBLAST
[18:04] <Dalste> For fixing the log in issues.... make your own client. If there is a hook you can bypass it by addressing the memory location it spawns in. Secondly. If SOE decides to update the .dll files use the hook at a Random time interval or event triggering such as zoning. you have to id the location in memory and maybe the thread ID to either redirect the threads or two kill the treads.
[18:04] <Arryeth> not supported, but the main driver is easily configured to run at the max level achieved by the IP.N1 and other competitors
[18:04] <sotoninx> downcount!
[18:04] <Richardo> DALSTE
[18:04] <Richardo> YOU MAKE A CLIENT YOU FUCK FACE BIOTCHHH
[18:04] <Dalste> I did.
[18:04] <sotoninx> its not a hook its encryption that changed
[18:04] <Richardo> DCC it to me
[18:04] <Arryeth> Dalste: a seperate client would require a lot of time.
[18:05] <sotoninx> there is a client in the works but its been put on hold
[18:05] <Richardo> Arryeth, my new car is going to WTFPWN you when I get it restored
[18:05] <Draupner> rich don't be so mean k
[18:05] <Arryeth> soto, atm it is a hyped up zone viewer
[18:05] <Arryeth> o rly Rich?
[18:05] <Richardo> yes
[18:05] <Arryeth> it's a trans am though
[18:05] <Dalste> I understand thay encryptoion may be a problem...but your client front end could use a basic 128 bit ssl (Standard) and login to a new front end you design for eqemu that accetps its input and parses it through what ever mechinism that are in place
[18:05] <Richardo> yes,
[18:06] <sotoninx> sounds good dalste.. make it pls )
[18:06] <Dalste> make what exactly?
[18:06] <Arryeth> whatever you are talking about ~
[18:06] <sotoninx> the client
[18:06] <Richardo> Arryeth: it has a FB29 Bionic 223Terrawatt K-Forge Engine
[18:07] <Arryeth> o really?
[18:07] <Richardo> yea dude
[18:07] <sotoninx> K-forge? no way
[18:07] <Arryeth> is it chromium infused?
[18:07] <Richardo> yea, I found it in someone's car yesterday dude
[18:07] <Richardo> no arryeth :(
[18:07] <Richardo> I wish
[18:07] <Arryeth> :(
[18:07] <Richardo> but its still nice!
[18:07] <Arryeth> dichromate would be a good solution
[18:07] <Dalste> Ok well sorry if youall got mad but the devs have the information and know how to get a hold of me if they need more help or info
[18:08] <Dalste> Thanks for giving me the +V talk to you all later
