Mobs spawning - please help

Hello people.

First, I would like to state that I'm very new to eq while not being new to either roleplaying or programming.

Of course my purpose is to make a good eq server ;] Now I got server up and running, downloaded Drawde's db and parsed it. But while making new chars in different zones and wandering through the realm, I still didn't see a single npc or monster, which makes me think I kind of need to spawn them ;]

So, the question is how to do that?

I would really appreciate as detailed description as you can... Coz i'm already addicted to eq ;) and wanna make it asap...

Sorry if I'm missing the head of the nail here -- you say you're not new to RPGs or programming, so I'm assuming you know what RTFM means....

Have you read the readme? Maybe try the #repop command?

Yea thanks man I did RTFM for now, also figured something myself, so world is populated now (using ariak's db9.sql)... Now the question is how to make npcs move ;p

wandering is broken right now but im sure if you post enough times they will have it running right away.(j/k)

Since this isn't the first time someone has installed a DB and still not seen spawns, What did you do/not do that caused this problem?

I can guess, but for future help it is best to know what went wrong.
