How do you remove everything from your computer then put in a new operating system. I have winxp pro on CD. I basically want to erase all its memory and start from scratch then install winxp pro from the cd.

He meant "partition", but that will delete everything on it and not just WinXP (which is what you want, I think. Correct?)
Getting rid of just WinXP is basically impossible. The easiest thing would be to copy everything but WinXP to another drive and then reformat the drive with WinXP on it (the installer should give you that option, no idea though, since I've never used/installed WinXP, only Win2k).

With windows xp its easy. pop the cd in. Reboot, let it load. follow the onscreen instructions.
