I got patched for .5.9dr2 recently and decided to give it a shot. After connecting I started trying out what few .5.9dr2 servers I could find. Every one of them I tried except for s2ktest only had classic eq enabled. All the graphics was old eq, and I couldn't select a iksar, froglok, all that stuff cause it said my expansions wasn't enabled.S this a problem on my end, or is it just the servers? Surely of the 4 servers I tested there not all classic eq servers?
I remember upgradeing my username when .5.8 came out, is there something like that I need to do again?
The scorp2k didn't work too good at all. I was able to log in, but the graphics was all messed up and I couldn't see nothing. When I moved the mouse arrow around it was just a big blur.

This has been asked numerous times. Yes. they are all using the classic db. You cannot enable it on your end.

I personally have chosen classic because I don't know any better :) I have a few issues to fix and I will use the newest available database.

I have all expansions enabled but you will not be able to use iksar, vah shir, beastlord, and berserker because there are no startzones for them or npcs trainers for them.

Here's one problem with enabling all expansions.
If you create a npc without a starting zone. ex. vah shir who cant start in shar vahl world will crap out on you.
This is how it was in the cvs. not sure if it's been fixed in the official cvs yet. just warning, if you get unexplained world crashes this is the cause.

The fix is simply adding cabeast, cabwest, and valshir to your zone table. See previous DB releases for the SQL needed for these entries.

Thats the DB way to fix it. be results in people being able to wander in empty unpopulated zones. your choice. It can be fixed in code too as FNW has done on peq
