For some reason it has always been a dream of mine to create my own little zone for myself. So I will try to go into detail on what I would like and include as much info as I could, any hints, tips, or links that could get this dream a reality would be nice, thank you very much!

* First, what I would like to do is have my own little zone. Basically just an empty Greater faydark zone to customize with mobs and story.

* I would run it off of one nicely powered computer

* I am a breeze with computers, but I no almost no coding. However, I am willing to read guides and learn if necessary.

* I have never made my own server, nor do I intend to do so unless, years later, I have some kind of multi zone amazing experiance, I just want to spend my time making something neat.

* So...at first(for a while anyways) I would like this to not be a server if possible, just on my computer.

* So, How would I make this beast? I would need just greater faydark, and something to customize mobs, spells, and lewtz(items)

* Can anyone see this as feasable? The amazing people at winters roar can do it, but they are amazing with coding and such, while I am a newb at this...

* In a nutshell, just to inform you, the zone would be kelething, over run with pixie/fairy model monsters who are casters of fire, ice, and magic type spells. Nearby on orc hill would be brownie style mobs who are wisdom type classes, druid/shaman/ranger type nature-mobs. Also there would be a circle of other races(one for each class) that would give out quests and such. In the end I would like to create a little world where people can request the brownies help(they want their city (kelethin) back after all....) and use them to clear away some of the pixies perhaps...who knows.

*So, again I ask for help. I have never done anything like this and I would not even know where to start or how to start it. THank you very much for any consideration you put into replies, especially since I will be so illiterate towards coding.........but thanks for anything you guys try to teach me!!!

-With hope,
Millenimy

for quest you need to know perl, not all models work in all zones, not sure which work in gfay and such. If your just going to run one zone for yourself you probally could just set up minilogin and you wont need a supercomputer. You can add monsters by using #spawn, not sure if you can add them directly to the DB using #npcspawn add or something like that, I know you use to be able to, but I heard that crashes the server. So most likely you would have to do it manually with a db editor, such as mysql front.
