Can log in but will not load character

I can log on now to the server WR, but when I goto make a charater i get an error message saying the server client has crashed. So I thought I would just load up and play one of the characters that I already had made. The game acts like it is loading, but just stays on a black screen. Any help with this would be appricated. Thanks.
