you're behind a router? I have an extra comp i can run a server on, but I'm on cable and have a router that connects both my comps. I tried it once before but people couldnt connect.
If you know how to forward ports correctly then yes, you can do it.

Go into your router manual and see how to put your EQEmu Server computer in the DMZ spot. This will make it so everyone can connect. Have a look in the manual and you should be well on your way to hosting a great server :)
Chances are you shouldn't use DMZ. DMZ opens every single port to the computer you'll point it to. Meaning that computer is very unsafe. I don't know what the ports are off of the top of my head but I know it is a set number.
To access router settings, in your browser go to http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1. Those ones are the most common. Good luck

Search for a guide on the forums. I have a router and I am unable to host a server and play on it at the same time, some routers are like that. I think Richardo (username: Lexen1) wrote a good guide a while ago, it might be archived.
