I just started playing EQEmulator, and, when I log in, no textures are displayed--only character models, no environmental things whatsoever. Can anyone give me any tips on how to fix this?

There are no textures ingame because:

1) You dont have the correct "live" version of eq installed
--- Did you patch after 12/15?

2) You are playing on a server that requires the old graphic files, the only way to fix this would be to reinstall everquest and go back in time and repatch in the 12/15 before they changed that

3) Check your video card drivers, make sure they are current

4) Sorry im out of ideas, post here if you figure it out though!

Good luck

1. I have not patched EQ since 12/15.
2. I just updated my drivers.
3. I am playing on Fibbonsworld, as are you--perhaps this will answer my question?

Send me a tell ingame to Fibbon

Actually, if you are using a GeForce you DON'T want to use the newest drivers. It's an odd occurance but what happens is Nvidia releases a driver set that makes EQ act a bit funny. Then SOE responds with a client that fixes the problem. The next set of drivers Nvidia releases breaks EQ again. This has been on going. The problem is now since the Emu compat client is older, the newest Nvidia drivers are gonna freak out the client. My drivers are dated 7/15/2004 and they work perfectly. If you are indeed on a GeForce I recommend you go through the Nvidia driver archives and grab that driver set.

Sweet, thanks for the info. Yes, I'm using an Nvidia :).

Crumbs. It didn't work.

EDIT: If it is any help, the loading screen comes up (no picture above it, though) and all the NPC and PC models are loaded, as are the zones, but it doesn't say anything about the environment.

EDIT #2: I tried switching to driver 61.76...didn't work. I checked on the EQLive website and changed to 67.66...didn't work.
