Hello, I just reformatted my compter and re-installed everquest. I did not patch yet. can someone tell me a way to get playing again. if i patch it will include the stuff from 12/15 and beyond and i dont want that.

You can't play until Emu catches up to live unless you saved a backup of your EQ folder.
