Don't use winzip, winrar without registration :p
Use GPL packer !!!

Hi Bel, yes got the 7z extension sorted...(NICE compression).. but, on trying the program, I found that the Zones crashed whenever the char tried to access them :(
Do you have any idea what may be causing this?...

Have you install all the files where is in archive ?
Have you install Maps directory from this : http://www.eqemulator.net/forums/showthread.php?t=18184 ?
Are you using Peq_velious_Beta1_DB ?
If all is right, don't understand.
I haved this problem when i don't have right configuration files :(
Edit: forget one thing :
REPLACE INTO `variables` VALUES ('holdzones', '1', 'Restart Crashed Zone Servers | 0 - off | 1 - on |', '20050329232941');
That help much and don't forget to restart your PC for clean memory, i think this DR3 trash some memory :(

Belfedia what files exactly do you have sourced if I May be so bold as to ask because I am getting an Items crash saying my items and merchant prices etc. do not exist. Would you please list out for me the files you have sourced exactly to a tee. Thanks so much :)

ok so with the new release of velious right we downloaded these files...
1.Drop_users
2.Load_empty_users
3.Drop_system
4.Load_system
5.DBUpdate
All are .sql. My question for you or anyone that can answer it is do I source the drop_system first and when I do source it does that automatically convert it to a fresh install??
My second question is would you explain in what order I use the sql files if i already have sourced in Kunark. Or can someone explain to me on how I would make my whole files fresh again to start from scratch without re formating my hard drive. Thanks alot :)
OH and I posted somewhere in the minilogin about doors being screwed up and I found that there was a link which I dont have off hand over at eqprojects that updates nightly so what I did is used the doors on the top of that menu and the doors at the bottom and made a doors_update.sql for myself with that and all extra doors disappeared. Just FYI if anyone wants to use what I made let me know and I will post it.
And also this Bel I know you have seen this on another post cannot find it or I would have posted it in there. I noticed that another guy posted this under his DR2 and I am confused because my DR2 works perfectly and I get his error when I load in with the DR3.... Any help on this would be awsome too thanks so very much...

Sorry for this bump but I wanted to leave that other post for noobs going from one eqemu to another.
I figured out what the problem was exaclty. I am learning something on my own thank god hehe.
Basically what is happening to MOST people is they are missunderstanding the tutorials alot. Basically when you source things it will not overwrite any of the existing stuff that is there. Well you can do it without screwups but it will keep giving you duplicate key unless there is something that is not already there then it will show the code of row affected (0). What this error I had above was from is this::::
If you want to load only PEQ_Kunark then just load it and not anything from the velious package. For some reason it will screw up alot of things. Well at least for me from what I have done so far. I would suggest deleting your eq folder and starting from scratch. If you load the velious over the top of your existing DB it should work but when you try to go back to your DR2 it will not run I will gaurantee it wont. The reason for this is you just made it velious capable and now it wants you to upgrade to the DR3 version of eqemu. I found this out the hard way. The error above is because I was using Kunark on the DR3 and that was not working at all....
In short if you use Kunark then you will want to use the eqemu 0.6.0 DR2 version.
If you want to use Velious then you will need to download the 0.6.0 DR3 from Belfedia before he stops the download processing from his site....
If I am way off then I am sorry for this post but I tried to run DR2 after installing the velious and it wouldnt work properly at all. But it ran the DR3 just fine.

Well I'm running Original/Kunark/Velious with Pearl Enabled on 0.6.0 DR2. I did have it working with 0.6.0 DR3 also. But It was a little buggy for me.

Ghost I am trying to figure out what steps the first users have gone through so I can copy there exact pattern to a tee. You cannot rely really on the tutorials there all kinda hard to follow and alot of the links dont support there exection link anymore so it would be great if someone would post from beginning to end of how they got everything working and hopefully we all can copy the pattern and catch up. However if its not possible anymore because of the links being outdated then maybe there is a problem with noobs trying to start now??

Well It's not an easy thing to get a server up and running from nothing. As anyone can see from the Tutorials. It's a lot of things to do and learn. But I made a Bug list to help myself out. And here it is, I hope it helps some.

Whenever the user connects to minilogin, it will display their ip in the console window, that IP must match the ip you put in the account table. Make sure the ip addresses are the same!

If you're going to get anybody but the same machine connecting to the server, you cannot use 127.0.0.1 as an IP address on any of your world or zone setups. Use your Network Card's IP address, which can be found in the Network Connections properties.

Name = Name of the mob.
Race = Model for the mob (eg Giant, Human, Dragon).
Level = Level of the mob.
Material = What texture (eg Sand Giant, FG, IG).
HP = How many HP the mob has.
Gender = Male / Female / Neuter ( 0 / 1 / 2)
Class = Class of mob. (eg 1 for Warrior, 5 for SK).
Item_Visuals = What the mob looks like it's weilding (eg Sword, Shield, Axe, Wand).
Merchant_ID = Never used this, not sure =P
For dragons and mobs where you can't tell the gender, use 2 or you will get a bald man.
Make sure you fill in all the arguments, even if you leave them 0 (ie, don't just go up to class then stop).
Don't have a clue what merchant ID is for, never used it. I presume it is for merchants with an item list already done. (Just use the merchant ID from DB and the merchant should have the items for sale that you set - at a guess )
