I had quit EQEMU for a while and wish to start playing again, I went through the setup process and was wondering if the login server is down? Because I have the eqhost in correctly yet I am still getting the message that I cannot connect due to internet or the servers being down.

same issue here. I am running windows 7 not sure if that is what is causeing it.

Have you tried checking the FAQ in my sig for suggestions? Make sure you followed the setup guide. Depending on if you are running Titanium, SoF, or SoD, you may have the wrong port set in the eqhost.txt file. Also, if you are playing through a proxy, they may have port 5998/5999 blocked.
