Hello,
As many of you know, I pop in and out frequently.

I got another computer, and a new laptop. the laptop can even play EQII!

I play SWG and EQII on Sony, and have the all access pass.

I recently got EQ Trilogy, and I want to log some packets and make a server or get an existing database.

I have access to Live, and I am planning on making an up-to-date server that is cool and fun for all.

I have a 6 Megabit download and a 4 megabit upload line.

My server is running Windows Server 2003. I have 1 gig of RAM, a P4, and a 180 gig hard drive.

I want to partner with someone to setup a server for the community, and for clans.

I also play Guild Wars (a game by NCSoft) if anyone cares ;-)

Anyhow, I am interested in setting up the server.

I also have Visual Studio .NET 2003 so I can make optimal tweaks where needed (like a message of the day or something, logging, pearl, whatever)

I set up a server before but had no mobs and only 8 players.

I am going to plan on having at the most, 50 people on it, because it is only a bout a 3.5 gigahertz processor.

Thanks everyone.

PS: I am not really a n00b, I am just trying to get an oppertunity to partner with someone more experienced with the game, I am experienced with Lineage II, C++, and web design, but do not play EQ origional that often.

Oh yeah, server is for EQ Trilogy.

I like your idea. I currently work on Sarepean's Test (because I'm Sarepean, of course) and I've been trying to recreate as close to Classic Everquest as possible. Stop in sometime and I can show you some things I'm trying to do. Maybe we can work together on this?

sure thing. I first need to get EQ properly setup.. I have planes of power but I do not have it setup for EQ Live (I created an account for it and then deleated the account). I am downloading my virtual copy of eq that i just bought.

I will download server files now... I first need to fix this damn SQL error.

Then to install EQ on another computer.

What errors are you having--- and do you know that the latest patch breaks EQEmu?

I have the newest version of MySQL server running on my server that has Windows Server 2003 on it.

I just bought that copy of Server 2003, and put on MySQL. I configured everything, and it failed to connect. I did an import and imported the EQClassic database. After that still would not sustain a connection, I decided to add more and customize the database. (I have worked with EQEmu for about a few years and left around September because of school.

I am back and hopefully here to stay... school is doing fine and I am doing better with some personal problems.

I had everything working, but the database was old... from around the time planes of power was released.

For a while I might collect some packets to help with getting it to work with live... not sure yet, I am afraid of getting kicked from EQLive.

I have these SOE games:

Star Wars Galaxies
Star Wars Galaxies: Expansion
Everquest II (I want the expansion, but do not have it yet
Everquest Trilogy (got it for for a present)
Everquest: Planes of Power
Everquest: Gates of Discord (just got it today, only $4.99)
Lords of Everquest (just got it today, just $9.85)
