View Full Version : EQEmu 0.6.1DR1 vs 0.6.0DR3

Hi all,

I was wondering if someone could say what the differences are? It seems that people with 0.6.0DR3 are able to get their guards to work properly, but (well, at least I) can't get them to work in 0.6.1DR1. is 0.6.0DR3 technically a newer release?

0.6.1 is newer but less functional because far more time has been spent on perfecting 0.6.0. 0.6.1 added support for the DoN client primarly.

Interesting - ok, so let me ask you this - My client is a back patched client to the last patch before the 5/11 patch - if I get all of the 0.6.0 sources and compile them, will my client work with it?

Which brings up another question - I'm fortunate enough to have Visual Studio 6, but if I were lazy or didn't have a compiler, is there a DR3 available somewhere?

Also will the PEQ DB's work with 0.6.0 if I decide to move to 0.6.0 instead of sticking with 6.1?

0.6.0 works with the 10/13/04 patch.

I don't know if pre-compiled DR3 binaries are out there, but here are mine:

The PEQ db should work perfectly with 0.6.0

I don't know which version I have to be honest, I'll have to find out when I'm back at home. I may just have to suffer with non-functioning guards :(

Well, I came home from work for lunch to check out my eqgame.exe file - and it's dated 4/17/05 - so I guess for now I am limited to 6.1 and non-functional guards.

Well, if nothing else, it'll definitly make the game more challenging at the low levels.
