Wrong client?

If I have the most up to date client, and I'm trying to log in to the server selct screen, is it going to just sit there and hang? Just wondering what my symptoms are related to ><

Er my problem was my host file. I used the info from the play guide on the front page, but it seems to have changed ports.

Host=eqemulator.net:5998


That is the correct info.
