How do I remedy this on my server?

It spams the zoneperl.exe and creates a ton of lag...

Along with that, the player(s) are no longer able to meele until they log off and come back..

Help please :)

What pet spell are you casting when you do that? does it happen on all of them? Id go see if that pet is defined and etc

I honostly dont know...The unknown pet msg has always been happening...how do I check if the pets are defined or not? Any help on that would be awsome :) Hopefully that'd be the issue, and it'd clear it right up.


Also, if its not defined how would I define them? =P Thanks!

Just some question than help to clear your problem :

What is the version of eqemu you run ? 0.6.2 ?
Are you use PEQ velious rc1 DB ?

I think something is trash in your database.

Ok, if you think so...Imma re-load Velious Beta and see how things go...I appreciate that.

I wasnt able to get into peq forums, because I had an OLD OLD account that was inactive now =/ Talking to wize_one to reactive it, maybe ill be able to find some useful information on there about my database =P Thanks a ton!

Well, didn't work....rofl.

Can this problem be with spells_en? or spells_us?

Or possibly with the account/inventory/character_ tables? (those are the only ones I reloaded from the old DB)

It might be an item that your char has. I had one before that messed me up. I couldn't do anything when I had #summonitem it.(Example:Attack/Open Doors) I wish I keep that paper with it's ID#, it was some Caster Item I belive.

I don't know mang...Its happening to EVERYONE that logs onto my server...you think its a starting item? I dunno man...its pissing me off...

Also, its crashing my zone.exe files...so eventually I have none up...And people wonder why my server wont let anyone in =P

Update on this issue...

I swear I cant figure this pos out, its pissing me off too...I cant keep my server up for more than an hour because the zone.exe's are crashing.

I am under the impression that taking away any pet spawning from players will fix this issue, so how do I go about debugging the issue?

I don't know how to debug EQEmu issues, so any tutorial would be nice if someone can point me in the direction...

Also....
If I do use pets, when I kill mobs, I ALWAYS have an invis mob attack me, actually it was the mobs corpse earlier today, as well as pain and suffering screwing crap up too...

I can zone out of the zones, but that seems to bug the zones completely, or the player(s) from meeleing.

Does ANYONE know about this? UGHHH!! Going to be pulling my hair out soon.

I haven't been able to re-create that error here using my 0.6.0 binaires and db. But, "Unknown type/pettype of: 0,0. Using Default Formula..." may be at least a partial cause. It looks like whatever pet you are creating isn't in the db. Have you tried creating pets that are found in it? The mob crash could very well be the pet itself, and not a NPC. That could also explain the pain and suffering crap when using a pet.

So, first thing try to create a pet that is in the db.

Maybe it's a bug with PEQ's pets.

Also, YES I did try to create a pet that was in there, and umm...It still bugged if as far as I recall.

I dont believe that database is compatible with 6.0 , it was made for 6.2

Well, you are missing a map file (hole.map at least - maybe all) Try downloading them and see if the error still comes up. If it does, try my db, not PEQ's. My pet tables are a bit different than theirs, and hell my db is popped up to PoP. If that still doesn't correct it, then I would just leave it alone. If it works for you with just some spam then don't try to fix it :)

And while I'm no PEQ expert, I believe you are right. RC1 is meant for 0.6.2, not 0.6.0.

I was told that too...But, again it works perfect with 6.0-DR2 :) So...I dunno.

Also, I believe I tried 6.0-DR3 w/ the beta database....soooo.....I have no idea what the deal is.

I'll just let it be as is, until something drastic happens and I have to change it.

Anything major different on your DB cavedude? That is, I pretty much would like it like PEQ...pet tables wouldnt bother me if its nothing really noticable...and, the PoP spawned is a plus.

Let me know.

I believe i read on PEQ that velious RC1 was backward compatible and could be used with the 6.0-6.2 eqemu. now the velious beta is only compitible with 6.0 not 6.2 unless you alter a few tables in the DB.

Also i have used cavedudes DB and i liked it quite abit when i used it, its worth a look at.
