View Full Version : Merchant creation question.

Ok, so...Followed this tutorial (http://www.eqemulator.net/forums/showthread.php?t=17201&highlight=creating+merchants) and I don't think that the merchant was added to the database correctly.

I did #spawn blah, then got what I wanted and did #npcspawn create, then #npcspawn add...both those messages said it was created and added successfully.

Ummm, I did #repop and, he didnt respawn -- What's the deal?

Do I need to reload the server to get him to work? Help me out plz! :)

Ive never used #npcspawn add myself..
I just use create and it seems OK.

Ok...Uhhhhhh...6.0-DR2?

I'll try deleting the entries, and re-doing everything w/ just #npcspawn create only...hope that works...

Also, do I need to reload the DB? Or just zone out and back in? Need that clarified. Thanks! :)

OH..Sorry..I dont know about 6.0 but its worth a try..I dont know if its necessary to completely reload the DB or not.. I guess I dont know much about this LOL!
If someone out there can tell me how to set up 3 mobs with the same name that spawn the next after its killed then I could figure it all out. But untill then Im just guessing LOL..But I can say with 6.1 I never had any luck with #npcspawn add...It never spawned right..

np bud, this should help me out...In fact, I think it did...Well, I did it on two mobs, and it only spawned one last night...Imma check again this evening and if it didnt work, try to create it again =P (the one that didnt work).

When you add new npc's to your server using #npcspawn create and #npcspawn add , you have to zone out and back in for them to show up.
