I've been messing with EQ all day to get EQEMU to work right, and I've gotten to the point that I can log in, pick a server, make a character, and even play the game.

I was finally happy, but now it seems that after 5 or 10 minutes (regardless of the server I am on), I lose the ability to do anything other than run around. I can't send tells, attack, be attacked, do /who all, or even zone (freezes up if I zone), yet I still can see other people running around, and mobs moving on their paths.

I was even in a zone with another player on a non-legit server, and I saw his level increase 4 or 5 times before I gave up and logged off (he was soloing mobs way stronger than he should be and big +exp bonus too).

I am having this same exact problem and can't seem to figure out what is going on. My comp is pretty fresh from a recent format, fresh EQ install, but everytime I log in, I play for 5-10 mins and I get the same thing you do....

Sounds like you have the dual core issue.

Dont care, I'm having the same problem....

its an AMD dual core issue I think....

I've set affinities, that makes it so I cant 2 box.... I get to a 5 second delay even on desktop if I try to 2 box w/ affinities set.....

I've gotten GnS Affinity, and done it through task manager.....

Downloaded the AMD optimizer.....

Tried all the compatibility modes.....

Now my laptop is getting to where it seems worse off than it was when I started trying to fix this mess.....

Don't double post the same issue in multiple places. You will get warnings and banned if it continues. I am not warning you, just giving you a heads up so you know. The reason for it is so you aren't using people's time in 2 different threads trying to solve the same issue. It is better to keep it focused on 1 thread and not double the work load for people trying to help if they don't notice it is a double post.
