Ok i did patch after 9/13 because there was no way for me not to.. but when i go to login it just freezes after i enter login name and password ... Shouldnt i still be able to go to server screen etc even though i have patched?

Hmm, my initial guess is "Yes, you should be able to get to server select screen" but then again, when it comes to the Emu, I have seen very odd things happen for no apparent reason at all.... so I dunno if your problem is Emu related, DX9 related, etc. As a cheap cop out though, I would blame the Emu. :)

Theres nothing wrong with DX8 or DX9c and it's silly to guess that.
You can't play with that client plain and simple.
I did see someone working on a opensource client somewhere .
but I think that fell thu with version 5.7 "shrug".
