Hello Everyone,

I cant believe I ahve been playing EQ for so long without discovering this Emulator, its definately pretty neet. Anyone who has played on Sullon probably knows me or has been killed by me)).

Anyway, I am pretty excited to head home tonight and start on setting up my own server, I am hoping to set soemthing up at home for me and my friends to play on my LAN. I have many years of programming experience in C++, ASM, and pearl so hopefully once I get rolling on this I may be able to setup a public PvP server, or even be able to be of help to some people.
looks like the most difficult task will be getting a client thats not up to date lol.

2.) Chose an EQEmu 6.2-DR1 Version to Download

Do I still need this ^^^^ with step 2a? I just want to get the files before I get home as dont have net atm, any direct link for one thats compiled and known to work if I do need it?


2a.) Download newest compile (6.3DR1) on sourcefourge perl and non perl working∞

wow that setup was even easier, had to play around with some different world.exe's and stuff but I am able to login and play now.
