Setting up a new PC and wasn't sure which operating system of windows would be the best for a server (least amount of bugs). I've tried one on XP and have had some issues, haven't tried any others. What do you guys think??

Thanks

I think best system for make a Eqemu server is linux, perhaps, because you can compil your own binary with the cvs, more easy.
But About windows system, you must prefer recent windows like 2000/Xp.

Actually just made a Linux partition (Ubuntu) and slowly learning how it works. I don't have enough knowledge yet do do the linux setup :( That was my main intention for the Linux too lol. But, I'm kind of tired with the one server I play on, so I'm anxious to start my own. And I know windows so....

If you are going with Windows I would suggest 2000 or XP, I am currently running my server (world and zone) on a P3 600 with 256 Ram with Windows XP and it runs great. And I am running my MySql Server on an old P3 500 MHZ server machine running Window Server 2003 which I got from work when they were going to toss it out. This setup works pretty good for me at least.
