New to this site, bit o information please.

Ok, I am new to this site. I use to play eq way back when, and decided to try and make my own server. I patched 6.3 and guess what.... doesnt work cause i didnt have an old version of eq. So i spent about 5 hours lookin for one on the net, no luck. I have finally tracked down an older comp that has not been upgraded in about 1 year. It has the 1 year old version of EQ on it. Will I be able to put that on a disk and use it to get an eq server up and running that people can log into using that patch version?

-Will people with newer/later patchs be able to log into my server based on that patch version?

-How will I know which version of your EQemu I will need to run this? since it is not the latest patch you guys had working?

-Please do not ask for the patch, I will ignore/report you. I dont have the time to deal with getting kicked off this site.

No. They must have the client that you have.

and what numbers correspond to what clients, found here: http://www.eqemulator.net/forums/showthread.php?t=17987

You might also want to just give the 5.9 and 5.8 versions a try if your client isn't covered by the version numbers in those posts. It could be that your client will work with 5.9 or 5.8 or 5.7 but the version checker didn't start recording compatible versions until 6.0.
