Hi everybody, been a very long time since i've used EQemu.. followed the Players guide to setup EQemu, i can get into the servers list and everything, but when i click 'Play Everquest', the screen goes black and looks like its attempting to log in, but in the end i get one of the error messages with 'send' 'Dont send' at the bottom. Would appreciate some help on what i'm missing here

Fokis if u patched on jan 7 of 2006 then you have to wait for them to catch up to live which could be awhile ( Don't ask when )

You can't play if you patched past 9/13 unless you backed up your EQ files. If do have them backed up copy the files back and download the program from this thread (http://www.eqemulator.net/forums/showthread.php?t=17992) to see what version of eqemu software you need.

I have the same issue.
Suggest LS says live is compatible with 6.4 server I'm trying to use, but game crashes.
Any ideas?
thanks

I'm bit confused with everything I read here :(
I downloaded eqvercheck and what I got:

Have you a router ? or are you on a Lan ?
Perhaps you can't play because the correct port aren't open ?

If you have patched after 9/13/2005 YOU CANNOT PLAY ON AN EQEmu SERVER

0.6.4 is the same thing as 0.6.3 (which is the same thing as 0.6.2) with a few bugs worked out and such. There has been no progress towards compatibility with EQLive. This will continue to be the case until the Devs feel that EQEmu supports enough of the features of EQLive to again focus on keeping the EverChanging (you like that?) network code up to date.

this is not a version problem, EQvercheck say it was compatible with eqemu ?

Mikenune,
thank you for explanation - just message I received from EQVerCheck was confusing, but now I have that clear.

Yeah, I dunno what's going on with EQVerCheck, but it should not be saying that your version (EQ Live) is compatible with EQEmu 0.6.4.

I would also like to make sure that you realize that there is a problem with widescreen displays and from past experiences, some errors in resolutions above 1024x768 on some clients.

I had bought EQ Trilogy and installed it on my new computer and its running fine, even with its widescreen display.
