Can't log on to server

I see the servers up. Atm there is Forbidden_Zone and Innorukk that are up and not locked...then i see doodman and KPnet. I see that innorukk has 2 on but ive tried getting on Forbidden_Zone and Innorukk for a while and i keep getting cannot connect, try re-running patcher. Any ideas?

Are you sure your client is compatible with eqemu 0.6.4 ?
If it is right, this is a server problem (I have need to restart mine for connected in) And i can't log in innoruuk also :)

Try searching the forums for error 1017? I believe this is the most commonly requested support-topic, and there are likely about 400 threads that discuss the problem and the fix.

Humm odd, I may have to reboot my server, I can login from a local computer on my network, but I can not login from a friends computer when I bring my computer to his place.

Just restart the server and that solve problem i think !

My server is running in DMZ. Using noIP.com. No anti virus program intstalled.
No WinXP firewall enabled.

It should work..All I changed was HardDrive location. But before that it was acting strange like dropping clients. So I tried to restart and would not do it cause a RAID card I had would not let comp start. So I removed it. I was already running on a single drive.

Well to make a long story short I dont know what to do at this point to fix my problem. I dont see anyone even trying to log on to world server.

I made a Character but server stops responding while trying to enter world.

Yup, it tried to boot up a zone for you. You will probably have to unclick entering the tutorial as I have not gotten it to work yet.

Well it says Im in qeynos. I know my server will sometimes boot a new toon.
I try 2 more times. No..Go..

Okay rebooted the machine, rechecked the config files. Also checked DNS information, all seems right. Even deleted and resetup all the router filters for the server. heres hopping.

Nope..I guess Ill try it tomarro sometime..I restarted my server and set my security to low..Its the only thing I can think of..Like I said. I didnt change anything so I dont know why people cant log in.

Well I made a couple of more additions to my router filters and I am testing something with the zones as well. I was running zoneperl.exe I amd running just zone.exe now, forgoing the quests.

Humm yea same here, only thing that I can think of is trying to go back to my old router if this does not work and see what happens, might try that tommorow.

I think I figured my problem out. My Ip address were different from what I had assigned at noip.com.
I didnt install the dynamic IP thingie from noip.com.
Ill have to do that..Its ok if it never gets turned off..

Anyway Im sure my server is fixed..Hope you get yours going..

OK..(Just got out of bed LOL) So what you are saying is that you can play on your server from your network and zone around to different zones but someone outside your network can only log in to world and not actually get into zone?

How about 5bootzones.bat?
It should say your noip.com name on left hand side and localhost on the other. Are you using noip.com? Cause thats the only way I know that works through a router.
You could maybe post what you have for 5 bootzones.bat. Cause the problem must be a lack of communication to the zone server.

EDIT>>> Well I just tryed to log into your server and no world login at all this time. So whatever you changed in login config is wrong..change it back.

I am hosting the server on a sub domain of my own domain. It used to work untill I got my new router. I am figureing it is a setting in there that I have either set wrong or havent set. Looking at the wiki and now looking at mine they are pretty much exact except I call my bat file something else and my zone boot up dynamicaly as players zone and bootup.

I am registered, have done the shortcut, and changed the eqhost file, and i can log in to the server list, but when I choose a server and click Play... I get booted back out to the logon screen. Any Ideas?

I havent actually seen anyone playing in a zone yet on mine but Im sure that works Ok. It always did before.

I was on for a bit and went thru a number of zones even bound myself in butcher I think.

OK...Thanks. I guess I wont let my server go down for so long again! Its gonna take awhile to get players to play again I guess.
BTW. I noticed you are using Cavedudes DataBase. Im using it too. I just used the Serverpack2 after alot of experimentation with PEQ DB/CavedudesDB/Combination of both! I kept getting zone crashes when using zoneperl.exe but when I tryed SP2 it seems somehow they created a perl version of zone.exe or used zoneperl.exe and fixed it from crashing and renamed it to zone.exe
Anyway, that was great at the time but now I have a problem. You see the SP2 DataBase and zone.exe is not compatible with PEQ and now I may want to upgrade my version wich means Im going to have to wait for SP3 or(And get this!)convert my DB to be compatible with PEQ. Furthermore, I actually have 2 databases. One is nonlegit. The other is semilegit. What I want to do is convert the semilegit DB to PEQvelious DB.

Oh..And this is just smalltalk..Im just saying it cause its a new problem for me as I now have a playerbase I want to keep so I just cant use a complete new DB anymore.

Anyway..So my goal to at least swap most everything except players and accounts in my semilegit DB so that I can upgrade or at least have PEQvelious spawns. Nonlegit will not be touched.

So the moral of the story is..A server ops work is never done.
