I'm considering embarking on a journey to revive classic, Kunark-era EQ on my computer for myself and eventually (and hopefully) some friends. I have a Kunark install disk that I want to use for this, but there are no builds of EQEmu that have any functionality that were designed for this old of a client.
Is it possible, and if possible, how difficult would it be, to tweak the source of the most recent server build so it sends out data that is compatible with a base Kunark-only install?
Thanks in advance.

Edit: Found the search button.
OK, so it's possible, and extremely difficult. Could somebody point me to a few cpp or h files that have the opcode information? I'd like to give it a go and see if i can hack apart some old server versions into a version that at least communicates with the client. How much actually communicates between the client and the server, and isn't just intra-server processing?
