View Full Version : How did the SOD server get boats working?

I went on their server, and was in awe when i saw a boat pull up to qeynos. Does anyone know how they did that. I would love to get boats working on my server.. but it may or may not be possible on eqemu 6.4DR1. If anyone has any info on how to get it working let me know. (and if you do have any info be sure and dumb it down for me as i am sure that it will be quite complicated) I also have the old skeleton and wolf models working but i realised i have to edit every spawngroup to make the skeletons the right model.. and every wolf spawn group to make them the right size.. is there any way to speed up that process? if not its ok it aint so bad but if there is a shortcut i would like to hear it.

SOD froze on a very old (now no longer supported) client. This client hailed from the era where boats were still in full use.

didn't the problem appear with dx9 ?

Anyone know what version they froze on.. and what (if any) version of eqemu they use?

the eqemulator version at that time was 5.3dr2.... check sourceforge... and there isnt a login server for 5.3 anymore... sod uses their own ls which only lets their client connect to it so you would have to find a mini-login client. 3rd you would need a database which you can probobly find on the peq source forge.
