Using the EQ client compatible with 0.6.3-0.6.6 and now 0.7.0 versions of the server I have found the following bugs/oddities while testing the newest build of 0.7.0:
Using a level 70 character, equipping gear on that character which grants a spell benefit (faster cast time, lower mana usage, etc) will cause the message "Your boots of soandso begin to glow" to echo repeatedly in the chat window. If another item is equipped that has a magical benefit, such as gloves, the message will change to "Your gloves of soandso begin to glow" and this message will continue to echo until the character either zones or camps.
While playing a level 70 warrior decked out in all the latest and greatest gear, I noticed that he will always score critical hits. That's definately not right. Zoning doesn't help.
I haven't been able to recreate this bug to a T however, I did notice that there are issues with items not being updated in players inventories. This affected potion usage and archery that I noticed first hand. After summoning a potion with say 20 charges, the player uses the potion once, and it disappears, only to come back after the player zones. Summoning arrows and placing them into the players ammo slot seemed to work until the player goes to shoot the arrow, which then a message appears that the player has no ammo. If the player attempts to remove the arrows from the range slot, the arrows disappear completely and then a message appears in the chat window about the ammo not existing in the first place. This seems to be tied in to attempting to summon stackables in numbers that are higher than normal, say summoning 100 arrows instead of 20 (which I know in EQlive stackables can be stacked in groups of 100 now). At any rate it seems that this could be related to it, but I can't prove it, it's random, sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesn't. Strange stuff.
That's all I can write for now, I will list more bugs later. If any more info is needed please ask.
Regards,
SI
