Character Naming

I used to play this a while back and have waited out the new patch so I could try again . . . However and though I can get into the server select and then even onto the server, when I try and create a character as it attempts to submit my name for approval it just kinda stops working. Is it simply a slow process or could I just not be a lucky one to play :( Oh and by stops working, the game doesnt freeze, It just wont finish the creation of my character.

Plz explain what version of client you use :
Titanium (no patched) or client patched with pre 9/13 ?
If you don't have this version, you can't connect to eqemu server.
Wrong version freeze, but not all time.

Make sure your 'eq' account has full rights on the database. It might not be able to write to the db.

I think what I am going to do is simply uninstall EQ entirely and reinstall it with Titanium, I happen to have bought a copy, but to answer your question, I had full EQ with no 9/13 patch. Thank you for the help however and all the same!

And simply to ask, how do I make sure my account can write to the database, are there servers where there is restricted joining? You will have to pardon, I am not a computer Expert, I am just looking to play for fun.

Thats only if you are trying to run a server yourself..If you just want to play on others you dont need to worry about that..He/She was talking about a Mysql account not an emu account..

What type of character are you trying to make? Did you try different class/race combos?
