Hello,
I have been running 6.1 DR1 zone(vb compiled perl enabled) for quite a while now. I am trying to locate the source files because I am having problems with petstructs in the compiled version I currently have... Looking at the sourceforge I only find 6.0 and 6.2 no 6.1...
Unfortunately my server would be REALLY stable if it werent for the petsruct being used without being defined(i would think this would be easy to fix, since ive done vb before)...
Does anyone know where i might find a copy of the source for 6.1 DR1 zone perl?
Unfortunately through all my trials, it is the only version of eqemu i have gotten working. I dont have a titanium client, so I am working with what i have. If anyone knows where i can find the source files I would greatly appreciate it, im gonna try and compile then with VB 2005 express.
Thanks again

Thanks so much belf.
Unfortunately, all the links from that site do not work on my computer or at my work computer. All the rar files come up with errors. Does anyone else have this? Mostly corrupt headers..?
Do any of the devs have the versions..?
And im not exactly sure what the problem is, but my server runs awesome, short of the petstruct variable not being defined on the zone servers... It was specific, if youd like you could search the forums because it was a pretty big thing, I never got it fixed and all the downloads for 6.1 dr1 perl zone are corrupt or dont work for me...
Could you try and download and open the .rar file belf? To see if its just me?

Yeah I noticed rar files seem to be corupted these days also, maybe something to do with useing the non purchased version ???
I have noticed that over time, .rar files will become corrupt. Files which I last opened several years ago, have a higher chance of corruption than recently archived files. However, recently archived files are still sometimes corrupt, rendering them useless.
The general rule that I have noticed is, the longer I leave the files, the higher the chance of their corruption. As I cannot afford to loose project data, I have now stopped archiving to .rar files.
I stopped useing RAR compression for this very reason.
I have still found no real reason for these corruptions. Heck- I also keep a copy on of important data on 2 separate HDs on a shelf in a different building, inside a case, in case of lightning strike or fire. The corruptions have been found to occur at an equal rate on unconnected HD, despite never being used. This should not happen.
The only consistent factor in this problem is the medium type (HD). I have not noticed this issue with DVD or CD storage (yet).
I now find myself stumped by this issue, and having to re-think my pre-conceptions. In the words of Sherlock Holmes, "Once you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains, no matter how improbable, must be the truth." . Perhaps there is an as yet unrecognised vulnerability with HDs and .rar files..

You don't want buy winrar, you have some problems with free version ?
Try this software : http://sourceforge.net/projects/sevenzip/
It was free and opensource :)

Yeah, WinAce actually worked where i am at now, while winrar did not work on the files i was at home.
So i unzipped them all and will try again. It makes no sense, maybe free winrar corrupts the files after trial period is over, haha.
Thanks again! :)
