The first time I have the game installed I can log on to a server and everything but every time after that when I get to the server list I get an error message that says eqgame.exe has encountered an error and needs to close.

Anyone know what to do about this?

I get this same message. I tried the batch file and I was actually able to see the servers before it crashed this time. I did a fresh install with titanium and put the 7.0 files in the eq directory. When that didn't work I copied the 6.6-7 files into the eq directory. I didn't remove the 7.0 files first though. Any chance they are messing me up?

I don't get it, what 7.0 files did you put into the eq directory? You shouldn't have to put anything in there but a fresh install of Titanium.

You do need to fix a few files, namely "eqhost.txt" and "eqlsPlayerData.ini". You're not supposed to patch with SOE's EQ live either.

Just a fresh Titanium install, with no live udates, fixes or any files from no-where. The only altered files from the fresh install are the two above mentioned.

Well, the first time i tried only changing the lines it said in eqhost.txt and eqlsplayerdata.ini and it wouldn't even find the servers. So i decided to try moving those files and folders that i downloaded in the eqemu zip i downloaded into my eq directory. The next time i ran the shortcut i created it actually showed the servers the first time, but it wouldn't allow me to log onto any server and the next time i tried to log in it just crashed. What is the zip download for? Do I just need to make the changes in those 2 text files and nothing else to play in eqemu?

ok. I reinstalled eq titanium fresh again. Made the changes I was supposed to in the files. tried to start eq and it says that the version of messinging being used is not the same between client and server. please try repatching the client to resolve this problem. It says in the wiki to patch eq after the fresh install, but i've read here in the forums not to patch it, that I need a fresh titanium install. Do I need to patch it from sony?

Did you delete the folder after you uninstalled? If you didn't I'm sure there was files it left behind from the previous install of the game along with all of the server files you extracted in there for some strange reason.

It doesn't say to patch the client in the wikki. But it does clearly say not to patch if you have the Titanium version.
