I tried using Peq and i cant get it to work so i was wondering if peq will be easier. I don't know what that sentence with replacing peq with eq means. not sure what i need to replace but here is what went wrong with my Peq Server Setup. I would wait till everything was sleeping then my server would go from locked to showing it open with 0 people on it. Then i clicked enter and it crashed. Any idea's? I do get this Error: Emusharemem: DLLLoadItems: !chDBLoadItems

Ok nm i got to the char screen and made a char but now i get the zone is unavailable then i waited a min then clicked on same char when i saw qeynos, 1 clients on my tab below but didn't have the patience to see if it would get me in after 3mins. Anyway i can have all zones up to enter into or is this normal and should keep waiting?

Reinstall the service pack 3.52, to include 0.7.0 files, and Caveman's DB.. then whatver else you want.

What it means on the bottom of http://www.eqemulator.net/wiki/wikka.php?wakka=WindowsServer70 is...

go into Click on "Start" then "Run" and type in "C:\mysql\bin\mysql -u root eq
and now type:

GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON eq.* TO eq@localhost IDENTIFIED BY 'eq' WITH GRANT OPTION;

then press enter

Make sure to edit your XML Config file in your EQEmu folder... Shouldn't need to do more than edit your server name now.

You are now using Caveman's EQ Database




Um for PEQ though... I wouldn't suggest you use it unless you only want up to luclin mobs (and adding more isn't very newbie friendly). Caveman's DB works decent, just need to tweak some of the DB.

ok its working and i can get in, sometimes i just have to click enter world twice to get in but i can get in and stuff but now when i log in i have no starting items , i had to hand to hand a rat for my first exp but everything working good. Maybe just one more question on how to get those starting items and i should be able to get everything else working, i pry have to implement them like quests and such since my servers just a baby starting today.

And something new, about those items. i Get this saying Error if you got boat loads of errors, make sure you sourced: utils/items-0.6.0-0.6.1-DR1-convert.sql

Maybe thats whats wrong with my items or something, running a 7.0 and don't remember sourcing items, need help with that.

For starting items, go to your starting_items table, using Navicat, or MySQLcc.. and edit the starting item codes with whatcha want. For the hwole sourcing issue of the items.. I dunno.. I'm really sleepy.

i get the same problem with error: EmuShareMem: DLLLoadItems: !cbDBLoadItems

that guy lists a table of code, how do i implement code in? Using perl? i tried but i think i got an error. Sorry being to oblivous to how this works.

Ok using cavemans DB, working good, that PEQ is complicated. I'll tackle it later lol. Thanx for all the help, all those errors were for the peq
