OK - first off, I have 2 partitions, one is an old copy (unpatchable) of XP Pro corporate and then I have the XP Home SP2 version I have purchased.

I have EQ on both partitions
I have DX9c on both partitions
I have the latest Catalyst 6.6 drivers for my Radeon 9800Pro

XPhome works fine
XPpro has a cursor frozen in upper left

Both have been set to 1024x768 / 75hz refresh

Anyone run into this?

Yes..Its a common problem..Look to a forum with official support..They will have the answer. You need to DL a windows compatibility program. Its not hard to find the answer for this problem with a little searching on official forums..

This issue is beyond the scope of EQEMU. It sounds more like an issue of compatibility between windows and everquest itself. In other words, you would get the same problem with plain-ole everquest(unless one of their patches fixes the problem)

To rephrase yet again, this is a problem with your windows configuration and your everquest install

download the windows compatability toolkit and disable everquest within it. This allows you to alt-tab and use your mouse.

Found some advice in iRC chat this morning and tried alt-enter to change to windowed mode and it runs in that mode. I will look into the compatibility fix at some point so that I can again use fullscreen mode. Thanks for the advice guys :-)
