Latest EQ patch and release of 1.03

I just downloaded 1.03 public login server and got past the login screen... BUT when I get to the server selection EQ crashes to desktop. I then tried it with the latest EQW 2.22 beta, it also crashes at server selection. EQW was slow enough to let me see that a banner was in place in the server selection screen and I believe it is causing eqgame.exe to GPF somehow. I'll see if XP can cough up a debug screen and try to send a dump.

Windows XP is reporting a GPF in eqmain.dll

Maybe we can work together and figure this out?

I'm patched up with EQ.
I got loginv1.0.3(supposed to work with the NEW .dll from patch)
Set everything up well.
No errors anywhere.
Now the weird part......

Go to login to server select screen and blam it just closes tried with both EQW and command prompt eqgame.exe patchme

I may post what comes up in world.exe screen but basically it says connected then removing client
No discernable errors.

Lemme know what yours is up to.

Maybe a firewall issue?
On my cable modem NIC firewall is disablled
but on my LAN NIC it is enabled

I'll try i later and post results.

Check your eqclient.ini file it should have lots of options in it
Mine only had luclin options so I went to my crappy backup of EQ directory and copy my old eqclient.ini file over.

Now I can login but I don't see my world server so I gotta dick around with IPs to figure it out.

Is that marquee still at the top of the server selection screen? I haven't seen any other posts besides yours claiming success or failure.

At server selection screen, my server isn't listed but it looks normal

Scrolling Text is fine.

I have the marquee stretching from the top left to just about the middle then it says servers. No scrolling text since I can't seem to get that far.

I'm able to log in provided I'm not running the world server... so looks like I'll have to go diving in the source and see what array is having issues.

It looks like some server names work fine, and some crash the client. It always works fine if there's no servers listed, not like that's useful though. =p

Tring to figure out the pattern of what works/what doesnt, but kinda stumped right now. =(
