Did you read the threads about changing the refresh rate, editing the ini, and other things it could be?

I've tried editing the .ini files, althought i couldn't find the refresh rate in the ini file. I tried using a .bat file that a friend found for me, but it doesn't help.

How about your ports, are you behind a firewall, do you have the XP firewall running? if so, take it off for a while , see if that's it. Also , routers have firewalls.

Thanks for the help. I really appreciate it. I turned off the firewall on my computer and reset my router. Thanks again for your patience :) I can play YAY!

No biggie, we've all been through this. You know, if you have a router, you don't really need the windows firewall - save yourself a lot of resources by using the router firewall.

That's a mouse thing with MS and Sony - theres a file you can download from MS called "windows application compatibilty toolkit" , there you can remove everquest from thier "compatibilty" bs.
or play in window mode and your mouse should work.

Or try using alt-enter to go back into full-screen mode, or pressing F11 (or F12?) to enable mouse control in EQ.

now your saying that the mouse does not work, would you perchance have an ATI vidoe card, and would it be in the upper left hand corner? if so you should be able to just right click to free it thats what I do. its a known eq issue with some ati cards. I belive its fixed on live now though.
