Auto Spawn?

If you use one of the public databases they have mobs already.
If you want custom mobs then you'll have to spawn them manually.

I just need a (hopefully) simple question answered?

I?m originally from SWG, and a friend of mine has suggested EQ? So I have decided to setup a server, should be simple enough! But, after looking through some of the discussions and the Documentation/Wiki it sounds like the Mobs do not automatically spawn or am I miss reading this? It sounded like I would have to either develop something to generate them or spawn them individually.

I appreciate any help you could offer!


If I were you. Before I even thought of making a server. I would buy a titanium client. Log in to PEQ and play there for a while so you can see what the standard (I consider PEQ to be the reference and standard to all other servers and DataBases)mode of EQemu play is. Then log on to some of the other servers and see what differences they have from PEQ. Also you need to know about some of the bugs that can happen. Like if you give platt to someone they wont receive it until they zone.
