Game Freezes at Server Select

I have dug through archives until I am ready to die, and I cannot figure this out. Alright..

I followed the wiki~
I have Titanium edition, clean, unpatched.
I edited my eqhost.txt file.
I have created a shortcut and edited it.
I can login to the login server.
I can see the servers on the server select screen.
I select a server ( I have tried almost all the servers. )
As soon as I click "Play Everquest!" the game locks up and I CTRL+ALT+DEL out of it.

I repeat: Titanium. Unpatched. EQhost.txt fixed.
I have tried the 'fix' that Angelox wrote down, no help to me.
I have updated my graphics card driver. I have also tried reinstalling EQ Titanium three times, with no prevail, even tried putting it on different partitions of my disk drive..

If you need any more information just ask, I'm not computer illiterate.

I got it working by uninstalling it, clearing my registry of EQ files, clearling Temp folder ( not sure if this has anything to do with it, but putting it down just in case ).

You don't have any firewall/router can cause problems ?
If you don't leave everquest when it lock up and waiting 10 minuts (or less), you
don't have 1017 error ?

I like the pink font but I find it a little small for my poor old eyes :(

I have noticed the same problem. it seems (and I haven't tested this extensively) if I enter my name/password and hit enter to get to the server list then I get the lockup and/or client crash. If I enter my name/password then click the login button, I do not.

Though I can remember hitting enter and NOT locking up once for sure but clicking login seems to be a lot more reliable.

Fairly confident this is all random chance. Enter, click, I get locks occasionally or booted back to login, and just have to relog in and it's fine. This goes for the LS server list being empty on occasion.

I don't have any problems with my firewall, and I don't have a router.
I haven't tried to wait after it locks up, but it might work.
No errors appear, it just fails to load..

I never see this kind of problem...
Have you see if your titanium pack is the same than other
with eqclient version ? :

In my case Peer Guardian was causing this problem. It didn't do it on all servers, just a few of them. Weird.
