It is called hosts. There is no file extension and it is located in the windows\system32\drivers\etc folder.

thanx i was searching host not hosts. but now im having trouble finding the "bootzone"
(taken from the natfix tutorial)
"and your bootzone should look something like this
start zone Halas name.no-ip.org 7977 name.no-ip.org"
I'm using the minilogin congifuration.
thanx in advance for your help. I've been jumping through hoops all day and i hope im just about finished.

I think bootzone was an old batch file way to launch zones, where you'd put each one in on it's own line. With EQLaunch.exe, you shouldn't need to do that anymore (0.7.0 binaries).
"start zone Halas name.no-ip.org 7977 name.no-ip.org"
from a cmd prompt:
start - a batch file that comes with some emu installers
zone - zone.exe
Halas - name of zone
first IP -
Port -
second IP -
those last 3, I am not sure what order they mean. one is the internal IP, and the other external (I think? - anyone?)
Are you trying to run a minilogin server for externals to connect to? because minilogin behind your own router/firewall only needs eqlaunch.exe. And of course, setting IPs in the account table for your clients in-house.
