can someone please post the link to cavedog's website here? The link on the setup wikki leads to his download not his page. I've seen in other posts people saying he has a great tutorial so i wanna check it out as well to see if i can solve any of my server issues. Also, does anyone know of an easy tutorial for updating a server with the current cvs builds. i've been searching the wikki for it but can't find that either. I'm pretty sure most of the problems im having have been updated in the cvs and want to get them fixed. thanx

You can get the latest version of the source from http://eqemulator.net/download.net I am not sure on the exact difference in this from CVS but believe that what you find on the download page is a current as you are going to find them based on this post from FNW

I have figured out a way to get win32 binaries to build under linux using wine, and have developed an automatic build and release system which is avaliable at the Downloads link on the home page.

It will build a new release every night when changes have been made. This should remove the compiling obstacle that so many people face with eqemu. As stated on the release page, these are not tested releases.

yup you're right I meant Cavedude. Cavedog is a gaming company that made total annilihation kingdoms. got the 2 confused. I have Cavedude's installer. i just want to learn more about it. yes i've been to the updates page on eqemu.net i've even downloaded the latest update. now what am i supposed to do with that file i just downloaded? what folder does it go in? i'm assuming the eqemu folder, but if i had a nice "tutorial" i'd know where it goes. I'm pretty sure i'll have to do some command line in mysql to make the server update but i don't know it. If i knew where the "tutorial" was for updating critical builds i'd probably figure it out. maybe there isnt a "tutorial" available and im supposed to figure it on my own... (anyone else see a pattern forming here) I know where the update files are. i dont know what to do with them. I'm sorry but i can't make this anymore clearer.
